The trio were heading back to Shibpur from Narsingdi town on a motorcycle when they fell victim to a hit-and-run
Police have already arrested three people in connection with the incident, the OC says
They succumbed to their injuries on the way to the hospital
The route is already narrow, with some areas full of potholes, and sections are undergoing a six-lane expansion
