This is the first case accepted by the International Crimes Tribunal since its reconstitution
Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam submitted the charges against former DMP Habibur Rahman and seven other policemen in a case over the killing of six people in Chankharpul
“The courtroom has been equipped with digital technology to conduct the trial of crimes against humanity committed in July and August," says Tajul Islam
“The Investigation Agency has seized many of Hasina’s telephone conversations. She instructed that the protestors be completely wiped out or eliminated.”
The International Crimes Tribunal had issued arrest warrants against 46 people last year in connection with two cases related to the July massacre
