The colourful Batik textiles of Cumilla

Komolpur in Cumilla’s Sadar Upazila has been renowned for more than half a century for its handmade batik fabrics. The factories here make this fabric from white cotton or silk thana cloth without any machinery. Batik sarees, three-pieces, shirts and lungees are sold at affordable prices at various shops in Cumilla.
