UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is set to visit Canada on a two-day official trip.
His visit will start on Jun 14, as announced on Wednesday by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
According to the Canadian Prime Minister’s Office, Starmer will be visiting the country’s capital, Ottawa, over the weekend.
Commenting on the countries’ historical ties, the announcement said: “Prime Minister Starmer’s visit will strengthen the long-standing economic and security partnership between the two nations – and deliver growth and prosperity for our peoples.”
Following the bilateral visit, Starmer is expected to attend the G7 Leaders’ Summit, which will be held in Canada's Alberta from Jun 15 to 17.
