Greece has hired a record number of firefighters this year in anticipation of a difficult fire season
No fatalities have been reported yet
At least 28 people have died and more than 45,000 hectares of largely forest land in the country's southeast have been charred or are burning
Acting President Han Duck-soo vows to deploy firefighting helicopters and ground personnel to battle the fires
Despite being far away from the nearest water source, 60 to 70 percent of the fire has been contained
