The movement will opt for tougher programmes if their demands are unmet, a protester warns
The reversal comes following scepticism over the government’s decision to form a committee to outline a roadmap for implementing their demands
“If no visible action is noted, then we will pursue stricter programmes, even hold a long march if necessary,” a protest leader says
The students are threatening to conduct blockades of roads and railways to push for their six-point list of demands, but have not announced the timing
A student representative says the demonstration will begin at 7:30pm
