On the third day of the advance ticket Eid travels, homebound travellers with joy on their faces thronged Dhaka’s Kamalapur Railway Station on Monday, Jun 2, 2025. Many were returning to their villages with their family, while others came to the station to see off their relatives.

Although the derailed Panchagarh Express train was rescued at Dhaka’s Kamalapur Railway Station on Friday, Oct 25, 2024, a severe schedule disruption has continued. Passengers at the station are facing extreme delays on Saturday, Oct 26, 2024, with each train leaving several hours late and two trains cancelled.
The trains arriving at Kamalapur Railways Station were all filled with passengers on Saturday as the residents of Dhaka continued to return home after celebrating Eid-ul-Azha with their relatives in villages or towns.
