Patients suffer due to doctors' work stoppage

Doctors have gone on strike at all government hospitals in the country to push for a list of five demands. In many hospitals they have closed indoor and outdoor services while keeping only emergency services open. The work stoppage has led to the suffering of patients.

Doctors and interns have stopped work at Dhaka Medical College Hospital to demand their security and protest against the attack on doctors. After the attacks on Saturday, Aug 31, 2024, medical services were suspended in all departments of the hospital on Sunday morning.
