As the US and others cut funding to the United Nations, Turk's office faces a shortfall of at least $60 million this year
“We actually gave the warning to the Army that if they get involved, it means they may not be able to be a troop-contributing country anymore,” the UN rights chief says
He points out that ensuring accountability is key to Bangladesh's progress
He also voiced concern about a roll-back on gender equality and an increase in the use of disinformation, intimidation and threats against journalists
He says without a proper archival system it is difficult to ensure justice
