The 'Musapur Closure' sluice gate of Noakhali’s Companiganj Upazila has broken down due to the intense pressure of flood water. The lives of the people of the two Upazilas on both banks are at risk due to the damage to the sluice gate located at the mouth of the Bay of Bengal and the Feni River. The breakdown of the sluice gate could lead to millions of taka in losses as locals lose fish farms and crops planted in the Char areas.
