BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said the people of Bangladesh now want to know the timeline for reforms and the next parliamentary elections.

“Reforms continue from time to time and according to the needs of the people. It is not for a specific period,” he said.

“The people want to know when the reforms will be completed, when the elections will be held.”

He made these remarks while speaking at the final match of the Arafat Rahman Koko Memorial Gold Cup Football Tournament-2025 at the Hatirdia Sadat Ali Adorsha High School ground in Narsingdi on Saturday.

The BNP senior joint secretary general said, “The tasks that could have been done if there were an elected government are stuck.

“The stock market is very fragile, and the prices of daily necessities are increasing rapidly.

“If an accountable government came to power, these things would have been controlled.”
