Skyrocketing prices lengthen OMS queues
People from lower-income groups are fighting for survival amid the rising prices of necessities. Some are queuing for hours behind trucks conducting open market sales (OMS) to purchase necessities at lower prices to ease the strain on their incomes.
The Directorate General of Food sells two tonnes of rice and one tonne of wholemeal wheat flour, or atta, through its open market sales trucks daily.
