Exotic fruit floods Dhaka markets

During the month of Ramadan, a wide variety of exotic fruit can be found alongside their domestic counterparts among the wares of vendors in Dhaka’s Purana Paltan. Though the mango season has passed, the fruit is still available. Sellers say these mangoes come from Thailand and Australia. Kiwis, Chinese oranges, and rambutans are also for sale.
