A hotspot for mosquito breeding

Dengue, a mosquito-borne disease, became rampant even before the monsoon started this year. Once the rainy season started, the number of dengue patients and the death toll from the disease shot up. Stagnated rainwater on the roads increased the risks of mosquito breeding in puddles.
