‘July memories’ obscured by posters

Traces of the 2024 July Uprising remain etched on Dhaka’s flyovers, roads, sidewalks and walls. Many vibrant pieces of graffiti were painted across the capital leading up to and after the fall of the Awami League government. However, many of these memorials are now being covered up by posters and advertisements, as can be seen at the Kalshi Flyover in Mirpur.
