A small bit of New Zealand in Bangladesh

A paved road winds its way through the rice fields. A short distance away stands a wall of hills and greenery. Buildings of brick and stone surrounded by crops can be seen on the mountain slopes. The unique natural beauty of the location is sure to capture anyone’s eye. The area – which connects Pankhaiya Para and Apa Perachhara – is about 1.5 km from Khagrachhari Sadar and is known as “New Zealand Para”.
