Ijtema ground brimming with devotees

The second phase of Biswa Ijtema, the second largest congregation of Muslims after Hajj, began with Aam Bayan or general sermons after Fajr prayers on Friday, Jan 20, 2023. After two years of a halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic, followers of Moulana Md Zubayer took part in the first phase of Ijtema, which ended four days ago. Now the followers of Moulana Saad Kandhalvi have joined the second phase. They thronged the banks of the Turag river in Tongi during Jumma prayers.
