Rangpur marks Victory Day with lights, flags

Victory Day marks the historic occasion when Bangladesh emerged as the victor of the 1971 Liberation War. Celebrated on Dec 16 every year, the public holiday is celebrated in grand fashion across the country. The northern city of Rangpur is greeting the occasion with national flags and lights in the colours of the flag.
