Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman has been ruled out of Bangladesh's tour party for Pakistan due to an injury.
The pacer has sustained a clip fracture to his left thumb, which will keep him out of action for at least two weeks, a Bangladesh Cricket Board media statement read on Sunday.
"Mustafizur suffered a clip fracture to his left thumb while playing his last match of the Indian Premier League yesterday. This injury requires a period of rest and rehabilitation,” the statement quoted national team physio Delowar Hossain Siva as saying.
“As per our current assessment, he will be unavailable for selection for the next two to three weeks. We will conduct a follow-up evaluation after two weeks to monitor his recovery progress," it added.
The BCB National Selection Panel has named fast bowler Khaled Ahmed as Mustafizur’s replacement in the squad for the upcoming Pakistan tour.
