In a bid to avoid any disruption to import and export activities, the government has decided to keep all customs houses and stations across the country operational during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays.

Only Eid day will be observed as a full holiday, the National Board of Revenue said in an order on Tuesday.

“To ensure uninterrupted foreign trade during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, necessary measures are requested to keep import-export activities running, albeit on a limited scale, on public and weekly holidays from Jun 5 to Jun 14, except for Eid day.”

Depending on the sighting of the moon, Eid-ul-Azha is expected to fall on Jun 6 or 7. The interim government has approved a 10-day holiday from Jun 5-14 for the occasion.
