A man has died after falling off the roof of a Cox’s Bazar-bound train in Chattogram.

The incident occurred on the Saikat Express near West Gomdandi Rail Gate in Boalkhali Upazila on Thursday morning.

The unidentified man is believed to be about 26 years old.

Sub-Inspector Alauddin Talukdar of the Chattogram Medical College Hospital Police Outpost told bdnews24.com that the man was sent to the CMCH from the Boalkhali Upazila Health Complex. The doctors examined him and declared him dead.

Citing witnesses, Alauddin said, "The man was on the roof of the Cox’s Bazar-bound Saikat Express in the morning. He was jumping about with his hands in the air on the roof of the running train and suddenly fell off.”

He was rescued and taken to the Boalkhali Upazila Health Complex in critical condition. Then he was sent to the CMCH for advanced treatment.
