Dhaka metro rail services will remain suspended on Eid-ul-Fitr this year.

Normal operations will resume after Eid, following the pre-Ramadan schedule.

The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), which operates the metro rail, said in a special announcement on Saturday: "Metro rail will remain closed only on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr 2025 and the service will continue as usual on other days."

That is, the metro rail will operate according to the Ramadan schedule before Eid and according to the previous schedule after the festival.

The DMTCL made some changes in the metro rail schedule on the occasion of Ramadan.

According to the schedule, the first train will set off from Uttara North station at 7:10am and the last one at 9pm. The train will operate every 10 minutes from 7:10am to 7:30am and every 8 minutes from 7:30am to 6:50pm.

On the other hand, the first train of the day from Motijheel will leave at 7:30am and the last train at 9:40pm.

The trains will depart every 10 minutes from 7:30am to 8:00am and operate every 8 minutes from 8:30am to 7:30pm.

The DMTCL says the trains will run following the schedule until the day before Eid-ul-Fitr. Weekend schedules for Fridays and Saturdays will remain unchanged.
