Shahjalal International Airport authorities have instructed that all services must remain operational during Iftar and Sehri times in Ramadan, which begins on Sunday.

Group Captain Kamrul Islam, the airport’s executive director, outlined the directives on Saturday evening while speaking to bdnews24.com.

As per the instructions, services must continue as usual, especially during Iftar and Sehri, which are crucial times for passengers.

The directives specify that:

  • All immigration gates must remain open as per the scheduled roster, with officials ensuring their presence.
  • The airport premises must be kept clean at all times.
  • Airlines must ensure proper baggage handling and timely delivery.

The Armed Police Battalion, Aviation Security, and customs authorities have been directed to carry out their responsibilities effectively, including traffic control, baggage screening, wheelchair services, ramp control, and inspections at the green channel.
