Chief of Army Staff Gen Waker-uz-Zaman has met with Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus to discuss the overall security situation in the country.
The meeting took place at the State Guest House Jamuna on Wednesday, according to a Facebook post from the Bangladesh Army.
During the meeting, the army chief also briefed Yunus on the army's ongoing activities and initiatives to support the country's development and stability.
Gen Waker also spoke about his recent trip to the Central African Republic, expressing hope that the visit would help strengthen bilateral relations and military cooperation between the two nations.
He informed the head of the interim government about a high-level commission's evaluation and recommendations regarding justice for deprived army officers and the progress of the panel in addressing the dismissal of junior commissioned officers (JCOs) and other military personnel on various grounds.
Yunus was also briefed on the army's efforts to treat students and civilians injured during the July-August mass uprising.
The chief advisor praised the army's contributions and offered guidance for future operations, according to the post. He expressed confidence that the army would continue to serve with professionalism and dedication to ensure the country's sovereignty and security.
