A fire has broken out at the Sattala slum in Dhaka’s Mohakhali.
The incident occurred around 3:45am on Wednesday.
As many as five units of firefighters have been working to tame the fire, according to the Fire Service Control Room.
The first Fire Service unit reached the scene at 3:50am and started to douse the fire, said Shihab Sarkar, on duty firefighter at the Control Room.
Currently, five more units are working to tame the flames and six units are on the way to join them.
Shihab could not confirm how the slum caught a fire.
