Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus.

In his message, Modi conveyed his greetings to the people of Bangladesh through Yunus, the Chief Advisor’s Office (CAO) confirmed on Monday.

The Indian prime minister said, “The joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr is a time of celebration, reflection, gratitude, and unity.

“It reminds us of the values of compassion, generosity, and solidarity that binds us together as nations and as members of the global community.”

Modi also noted that, like Muslims worldwide, 200 million people in India observed fasting and engaged in worship throughout Ramadan.

He wished for global peace, harmony, good health, and prosperity.

“May the bonds of friendship among 'our' countries grow stronger.”
