Private carrier US-Bangla Airlines is set to launch direct flights from Dhaka to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, from Apr 21.

The airline will operate five weekly flights on this route using a 436-seater Airbus A330-300.

Ticket sales for the Dhaka-Riyadh route began on Wednesday through all US-Bangla Airlines booking channels, the carrier said in a statement.

Flights will depart from Dhaka at 1:35pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, arriving in Riyadh at 5:10pm local time.

The one-way fare from Dhaka to Riyadh starts at Tk 54,065, including taxes and surcharges, while the return fare is Tk 81,998. From Riyadh to Dhaka, the one-way minimum fare is 846 Saudi riyal, with a return fare of 1,458 riyal.

US-Bangla Airlines said the long-awaited service aims to fulfil the expectations of expatriate Bangladeshis living in the Gulf kingdom.

The airline also assured that it will facilitate quick domestic connections for “remittance warriors” returning home from Saudi Arabia.

Currently, US-Bangla Airlines has a total of 24 aircraft in its fleet, including two Airbus 330-300 and nine Boeing 737-800.

It operates flights to Jeddah, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Doha, Male, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Chennai and Kolkata, alongside all domestic routes in Bangladesh.

For any information related to the reservation of tickets on the Dhaka-Riyadh route, contact 01777777800-6 or 13605, or visit the US-Bangla Airlines website.
